- SERMON TEXT : I Timothy 2:1-6a
2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people —
2:2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
2:3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
2:4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
2:6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
